Across the state of Michigan, gas prices have fallen over the last month and are down eights cents to $3.55 a gallon. For diesel customers, prices are also down from a month ago – 10 cents to $4.35. These trends are in line with national ones, where gas prices are down 14 cents a gallon from last month.
In both Marquette and Traverse City, prices have continued to fall. The average price per gallon in Marquette is $3.63, 13 cents cheaper than a month ago. While in Traverse City the average price per gallon is $3.60, 11 cents less expensive than last month. The prices are both significant decreases from the highs of more than $5 a gallon that were seen last June.
